Thursday weddings are my new favorite.  Especially when they have such a sweet and funny kind of couple like Vinny & Cayt, and loved ones who love to laugh and dance the night away.

For them, getting married at a California winery was more than just the beautiful scenery and tasty wine.  Vinny and Cayt actually had their first date a few years ago at a local winery in Arizona, so it only seemed fitting for them to tie the knot among the grapevines.

Through the course of several years, these two desert love birds learned that timing was everything. Cayt, who is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and Vinny, who's from New Jersey, met at work when they both transferred to Arizona. Not only did they begin working at the same company around the same time, they learned too that they  lived across the street from one another. Talk about meant to be! They soon found they also shared a love for musicals, traveling, and family. And because of their like-mindedness towards wineries and traveling, they decided to venture out to Southern California's amazing wineries, and quickly became enamored with Lorimar Winery in lovely Temecula, CA.

The week of their nuptiuals, the temperatures had been reaching triple digits (yes, that's weird for SoCal for that time of year) but fatefully, on their day, the temps lingered around the high 70's with an amazing cool breeze.  With the backdrop of the winery, the blooming scent of the orange trees and lavender, the setting was perfect.

Cayt & Vinny had made sure that their wedding carried a lot of meaning, making it a time to remember the past, present, and future. Cayt took pieces of her mom's dress to be used as her headpiece and garter. How sweet is that! She also carried a beautiful photo of her recently passed grandfather on her bouquet along with his handkerchief, which she embroidered with a special message. From Vinny she received the loveliest pair of diamond stud earrings that enhanced her natural beauty.  He said he wanted her to have something that represented the start of a new chapter and to all the adventures to follow.  Although they both had parents and grandparents help them get ready, I must say that Cayt's cutest helper - her adorable little niece who wore a matching navy robe and ballerina slippers - almost stole the spotlight.

Along with the traditional first-look with her man, Cayt had decided to do one with each her father and future father-in-law. And my gosh, were they tear jerkers. I did my absolute best not to cry, but I must admit that my eyes got a little watery. Those who say first looks aren't meaningful, I'm sorry, but they're wrong. I love the little moments that lead up to reveal as all those involved look on with anticipation of the reactions. It truly is a special moment.

It was truly an honor to have met so many of Vinny and Cayt's family and friends, who traveled from all over the U.S., to celebrate their love on their special wedding day. It couldn't have been more perfect! Cheers to you both! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, love and laughter.
